Positive Inner Beauty

Do you ever feel like your inner self could use a makeover? How is your positive self talk? Do you need to spend more time on it?

We are all concerned with our outer beauty, but that is part of being human. If we spend time working on the inside as we do the outside, we may find it's much easier to live intentionally.

If you feel like your inner beauty routine could use an overhaul, here are 3 habits to help you get started.

How You Feel

Focus on how you feel, not just what you see in the mirror. It can be difficult to avoid getting caught up in the beauty standards of today. The world presents a picture perfect, Instagram-worthy outer beauty that can make us feel "less than." Don't measure your beauty by what you see in the mirror. Check your heart.

Are you working out? A simple walk helps our heart and mind. After a tough workout you may be sweaty, but you will find beauty in the strength of your body and what it can do.

Take time for a healthy meal.

Take an Epsom salt and essential oil infused bath at the end of the day.

Focus on your blessings and beauty of your life. Let gratitude take over.

Toss Toxins

So many of the products in our beauty industry are full of toxins. We apply them to our skin, hair and nails and are covered head to toe in toxins. You may like how they make you feel or look, but exposing yourself to the chemicals can actually take a toll in our bodies.

With natural beauty products, you will feel more like yourself. And have some peace of mind knowing you are producing true self care.

Be mindful of what you put on your body. Lighten the toxic load. You may actually feel better.

Did you know?

Many deodorants have aluminum, among other toxins. Switch to a more natural deodorant, that works. Native Deodorant and DoTerra are a couple of my favorites to try.

Below are a few of the products I trust and use. I am sharing them with you to help you toss the toxins.

Monat Hair, Skin and Wellness
DoTerra Essential Oils
Bellame Products

What Really Makes You Beautiful

Intentionally focusing on building your inner beauty means finding things you like about yourself. What are your talents? What are your interests? Do any of these make you feel like you? Maybe you need to discover your passion and what you're good at Nourish your soul and heart with talents and interests that help you love yourself.

Beauty is more than meets the eye. Compliment yourself with more than just the way you look. Look for your true beauty in characteristics beyond your physical appearance. Compliment yourself more, you will learn and internalize that beauty is more than the person you see in the mirror.

How is your heart? What do you do to toss toxins and see beyond the image in the mirror? Comment below and share what you do.
